Water Conditions: Poor - Fair
Flows are at 22 cfs as of 2/27
Fishing conditions and Hatches: Fair-Good
The reports I've been getting are good but with the limited productive water it's a long way to go if it's crowded, maybe try going up there midweek. Temperatures are starting to moderate; days are getting longer, and we should be seeing things pick up in the next few weeks. The BWO hatch has got to get going any time. Fishing is okay but it's real skinny and limited to the deep holes, not something I would do very often. Dry fly action has been picking up for the smaller fish, 10"-16". The midges are pretty much the only bug hatching but there are fish rising in the slower water midday, dry dropper was the most successful with a large dry and Zebra Midge dropper. The perch, no longer fry, are still getting flushed through the pipe so make sure you have light colored streamers ready, go with bigger streamers. By now the fish are educated to perch imitations so you need to figure out how to present a dying perch realistically.
