Fishing conditions and Hatches: Fair-Good
We are hearing very few reports because the guides and locals are not getting out much.
It must be getting close to alfalfa season because the river just went up to 69 as of yesterday! OOPS, back down to 51. These flows help but it's still skinny with a water temperature of 42 mid-day. Dry fly action has been picking up for the smaller fish, 10"-16". The midges are pretty much the only bug hatching but there are fish rising in the slower water midday, dry dropper was the most successful with a large dry and Zebra Midge dropper. Now that there's a little more water try nymphing with a midge trailing behind stonefly or mayfly nymph.
