Low and muddy is the theme at Boca as they plan to continue construction of the dam this Spring. It is currently fishing okay, however we are expecting the fishing to slow as water temps warm and fish seek the deeper water later this Spring. Launching a boat will be limited to offshore.

With the boat ramp accessible, Donner is a great option for trollers itching to get on the water. Putting in the time out here could pay off with the occasional large fish with a 20+ pound Mackinaw being caught and released in recent weeks. Shore fishing has been steady here as well with Rainbows being caught on Powerbait. Recommendations: Lures:Kastmasters (silver on sunny days, gold on overcast days), RoosterTails, Mepps, Rapalas, Sierra Spoons. Bait: Powerbait, Salmon eggs, worms ......
