Hi Gang,

We received notice from SAC midday today that the San Diego Sportfishing fleet is officially open for business.  This is great news for us all.  We want to thank SAC, Ken Franke, Frank Ursiti, and everyone else that put in long hours on our behalf so that our fleet can re-open safely.  We have a detailed Covid 19 company policy in place now on the Intrepid that will keep our customers and crew as safe as possible. Some of the new protocol in place for our operation includes the following: temperatures will be taken of customers and crew before each voyage; the crew will disinfect all handrails, tables, and doorknobs every 2 hours; hand washing and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the vessel; customers are to bring their own pillows and blankets on all trips; we will limit seating in the galley for social distancing; everyone is to maintain social distancing whenever possible; and face masks are to be worn when not eating or sleeping.  We are going to schedule some 1.5 day trips for next week, and will put them up on our website tomorrow.  We are very excited to get back on the water.  Thank you for checking in, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
