FACE MASKS REQUIRED PER INYO COUNTY

Don’t forget a jacket

Finally the campgrounds have opened, well some of the campgrounds. Sabrina Camp, Big Trees and BitterBrush have opened for the season. North Lake has opened, but they will become a dry campground – no potable water. Four Jeffrey Pine campground is scheduled to open June 19 and we’re not sure about Intake 2, Bishop Park or The Fork campgrounds. Stay tuned. With the opening of some of the campgrounds, boat rentals got even busier.

Fishing season started off with a bang, but has slowed down a bit over the past few days. And the weather is still wishy-washy – with winds coming in on Friday evening bringing some very cool temps for June – we even had the woodstove going all day over the weekend, but those that came to go fishing braved the cooler temps!

James Pasarow, age 4-1/2, when asked what did you catch your fish on looked at me and said “A boat and with a worm”. We did see several nice stringers leaving the Lake and heard of fish caught and released. NightCrawler and Salmon Eggs along with PowerBait and Pinched Garlic Worms were doing the job for many anglers along with the Red/Gold Thomas Buoyant and Gold KastMaster.

We’ve put in our request to open the Café and are awaiting the ‘blessing’ of the County Administrator. Don’t forget a mask when you come to Inyo or Mono Counties, they are still required here.
