Fly fishing at the lake has been really good for about two weeks now. Early mornings before the sun hits the water and late evenings as the sun is going down has been the best. On sunny days like we have had over the past week or so the fish seem to move out into deeper water and are harder to get to from shore. Nymphing with Maholo nymphs, PT's, and Snow cone midges are working well. It is important if you are stripping flies with a sinking line to use a floating running line and foam flies to get your flies up off the bottom some because of the amount of grass on the bottom this year. Tadpoles and beetles will do the trick.

David Lee and Ed Wahl were out there yesterday afternoon. It is starting to fish some and will only get better with April/May being the wild months. We would recommend getting out there at around 3:00pm and fishing till dark this time of year on a warm sunny day. We are having a pot luck barbeque lunch and fish-out there on Saturday March 24, 2007 starting at around noon.......
