Hello everyone; We arrived to our first destination around 07:30 hours, with no life in that area we continued to move south. We arrived to the ridge, and started catching Yellowtail. The size of the fish is not we were looking for, so it was a lot of shacking (letting the small one’s go back home). But the taggable size fish were in the 12 to 18 pound range.
Once the bite slowed we continued to move south. We did find a kelp paddy with some small Dorado under them, while most of our passenger didn’t tag them, some did. It was time to move on. We arrived to our final destination around 15:30 hours, and it didn’t take long for the Yellows to start biting.
Most of these fish were in the 18 to 25 pound range, with a few over 30 pounds. We also caught a few Grouper, and a handful of Yellowfin tuna. So all in all our first day was a good day. The weather was excellent, with flat seas, slightly overcast skies, and a bit warm for most. So that is our report for today, but we will continue to keep you updated on our daily events.

We did land one small Bluefin (about 30 pounds) early, but the rest of the day was seeing fish that didn’t want to bite. So today was a very slow day of catching. We still have a full day of fishing tomorrow, and hopefully things......
