Crowded! Don't go out there and drive straight to your favorite "honey hole". Look for the open gates and talk to the people that are already out there. The Trico emergence is getting heavy, if you get out there early the female Tricos start emerging around 7 with the spinner fall 9-10. It's already happening, the fish are getting wise to hopper patterns so presentation and timing can be critical, don't be afraid to throw double hoppers and try drowning the bottom one. With the increase of hoppers even the big fish are starting to look up so it's not just the Hoppers but also Caddis and PMD's for dry fly and nymphing action. Caddis are scattered throughout the day with the PMDs and Hoppers starting around 10:30, PMDs are through around noon with the Hopper action running until mid to late afternoon.
