Water Conditions: Fair-Good
Algae has pretty much disappeared
ATTENTION: The outflow is still summer normal so the lake is dropping about 2" per day.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good
The perch are now a definite part of the food chain. The good thing is that they're spread out all along the weed beds and in the pockets so if you're willing to put in the time you will be rewarded by having the fishing all to your self. Time of day is an important consideration and also how close to stream mouths you are fishing because the fish could be feeding on something being washed into the lake. Between that and the stream flows dropping the fish have started migrating towards the stream channels. You can still find them in 25' to 35' but they're now showing in 6' to 15' and they aren't glued to the bottom so make sure you fish several depths. McGee Bay and Green Banks are good bets as well as Big and Little Hilton. There are fish in Crooked Creek but haven't heard to much positive. Lots of Damsels and small Calibaetis emerging 10-1so if you're catching fish and it shuts off between 9-10 the fish have probably switched food.
