With the extreme season in Oregon, hunters and anglers should check ahead about possible closures, restrictions and cancellations. We are updating access conditions as we can in the Recreation Report. However, conditions can change quickly, and in between updates.

Youth pheasant hunts cancelled
No hunts this weekend at Sauvie Island and Denman wildlife areas
To due hazardous smoke conditions, and uncertainty about the weekend outlook, all youth pheasant hunts scheduled for Sept. 19-20 at these two wildlife areas have been cancelled. Find the latest updates and cancellations. Check this page often for further cancellations.
Best bets for weekend fishing
Assuming the skies clear and immediate fire dangers subside, there could be some good fishing this weekend. Search out sections of the Rec Report for signs of:
Clamming, and some crabbing, remains closed to nonresidents
Clamming and mussel harvest remain closed to nonresidents along the entire Oregon coast. Crabbing is open to nonresidents from Cape Falcon (between Seaside and Tillamook) south to the CA border.
