Bass are chasing bait in the main body of the lake and the rowing lanes in the morning. Same in the back of Harvey’s Arm. Jerkbait fish on the outside edge of toolies in 8-12 feet of water. Top water and the shallows thought the morning, mid-day and evening. Stop in and check out our bait shop. We have plenty of tackle live bait!

Anglers checked over 200 bass over the past few days. The excellent bite continues here at El Capitan. Top water action in the early morning and evening. With no more water contact sports here, the enthusiasts are happy. The bluegill catch remains strong. Still getting crappie reports but not like previous weeks. The crowds have died down a bit since the 4th of July with less boats on the water. The bite is still super solid, however bass are bing caught in a little deeper water. The bluegill and crappie are still excellent with worms and crickets. Catfish biting deep with sinker bait. ......
