Hello everyone;
We arrived to our destination around 0530, and it didn’t take long for us to find the fish. We had multipole hook ups, but it was more shaking than tagging. Most of the fish were in the 6 to 10 pound range, and the taggers were in the 12 to 15 pound range, with a few larger one’s.
I must say I think I released 80 to 100 fish today myself. Talking to some of our anglers, think that could have hooked 50 to 70 fish today (skipjack, small Yellowfin, and small Yellowtail). But one good thing, if you put your time in, you would be rewarded with a nice 20 to 35 pound Yellowfin tuna. Not much Wahoo around, we did get one Wahoo for our efforts.
Will give this another try tomorrow, and hopefully the larger one’s want to bite. Other exciting moments, we had a turtle around the boat, eating skipjack, and a whale shark (puppy) hanging around checking out the boat.
Weather continues to be excellent, with flat seas, clear skies, sunny, humid, and warm. Until tomorrow, wish us luck we will keep you updated with our daily events. Team R/p.
