According to Captain Temo Verboonen, the fishing was very difficult during the past week of the full moon phase and the offshore bite took a beating. While the offshore temps remained good, the clarity has changed and he reported some red tide conditions are starting to show up in some of the areas. The inshore bite remained in high gear, especially for the jack cravelle, bonito, sierra and even a few rainbow runners.

IZ Climate: Mostly sunny with warm days, temps from 69 nights to low 90s for daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: a 5 degree spread in water temps from inshore to offshore, with cooler water close to the beach at 75 degrees and rising to 81 offshore. Temo reported some patches of red tide showing up in various areas offshore, but for now, the inshore areas remain clear.

Best Bait/Lure: Live bait was best for the inshore fishing, but red/ white pencil poppers were also working very well.

Best Fishing Area: Offshore was not specified. Inshore, the best action was at the white rocks outside ixtapa.
