Yesterday was our second day fishing for big tuna on the Lower Banks. It seemed like we had at least one fish hooked all day and we had a couple of better opportunities in the morning and again in the afternoon. We ended up with five fish over 200 pounds and the rest of our fish were 160 to 199. We did catch one tuna that was 70 pounds. We lost a couple of bigger fish that just would not stop and with both fish, we had two back ups in the water. A really cool day of catching big ones. We are trying this again today and have landed one fish so far that taped out at 231 pounds. This is our final day down here on the Lower Banks before we start fishing our way North. Hi Gang, Yesterday was a travel day for us to get in position to try for big ones on the Lower Banks. Our weather was beautiful and the day was spent preparing tackle. We just arrived on scene and have lines in the water . We are currently marking a few fish on the fathometer and just had on big one boil in our chum. We have high hopes.
