Report Date:
http://www.truckeeriveroutfitters.comWarm weather this week has caused the run off season to start. The river has been fluctuating with the air temperatures for the last week or so. This pattern could stick around for the nest few weeks. Cooler temperatures in the forecast should slow the runoff somewhat over the next few days. Big stonefly nymphs like Poxyback Golden Stones, Jumbo Johns and Bottom Rollers with a smaller dropper fly will get you to the bottom. Split shot are often a necessity at these flows. Fish will migrate out of the faster current as the flows increase and most will end up along the banks and in protected water where you can get at them. Fish above the inflow of the Little Truckee for best water conditions. FLOWS - Truckee, Ca - 239cfs, Farad, Ca - 492cfs Reno - 382 cfs
