http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=537With so many people in the lake the weekend before, the fish needed a day to recuperate, then got hungry! We had Stripers hitting on anchovies and Power bait. Salmon being caught on crickets and lures. Catfish were eating everything, and Trout a pleny! One angler said, "They hit on everything I dropped in. The trick, is the depth." Ofcourse, he wouldn't tell us his "secret" but his fish-finder did! Haha. The magic depth for trout was 25 to 30 feet this last week. This week's going to be just as good, if not better, so come on over and bring your sunblock.

The weather got hotter and so did the fishing! Private boaters (and secretive anglers) were taking home their limits without stopping in to brag. But, the few that wanted a keepsake came in to share their catch. The trout have been biting steadily on "Power Bait" and worms/ grubs. Bass and catfish have been eating worms quite steadily, they have also been caught with "Power Bait", believe it or not! So, if you plan on coming to visit us this......

The weather was beautiful, the water cool, and the action on the lake was everywhere. There were several reports of Bass being caught with worms for bait, then released back into the lake. Catfish are still biting on worms and liver. Trout are biting on just about anything! From Powerbait to lures, to worms and grubs. It just depends on your luck for the day. Some people left with fish, others left with only a tan......
