With a hearty and hopeful group onboard, we were able to make it down south of Pigeon Point despite some tough weather conditions to give it another try on the salmon grounds. The fish were waiting for us again, and we ended up hooking around 20 salmon for our 14 anglers. A couple of those fish won their battle to freedom, another couple handfuls of fish were shy of the current 24" minimum, and we ended the day with 8 fish in the box to 15 pounds. Considering the tough ocean weather conditions today, it was a heck of a day. We've cancelled our trip for tomorrow as the winds are forecast to increase on Saturday, but thankfully conditions are looking much better for Sunday. After a couple of successful and encouraging trips below Pigeon for salmon, we've added salmon trips on Wednesdays and will be putting trips on the books for May in the next few days.
