The Metolius is looking good, as it always is. Green drake emergences are getting more common and action on pale morning duns has been great. The cool weather this week will likely bring out more blue wing olives and PMDs than caddis. However, sometimes a cooler period can bring back some of the big october caddis so have some pupa ready to go. Green drake nymphs and golden stones are great for nymphing, along with patterns that can imitate the BWO and PMD nymphs. Jigged euro-style flies are bound to get bites as well. Bull trout are being caught with both nymphs and streamers.
