Dorado were the fish of the week, with most of the boats averaging a couple of dorado per trip. However, the billfish counts were down significantly, with the lowest numbers we have reported for more than a year. A few yellowfin tuna being taken in the offshore area to the south of Cabo, but no sustained bite, even with the porpoise. According to Roberto Marquez, it\'s a very unusual fishing period. The water temps and clarity are good and while we are seeing more dorado, the billfish are apparently on the move, perhaps into cooler waters. The odd thing is the lack of black and blue marlin in the warmer waters, especially with more dorado showing up. Maybe that\'s yet to come, soon, hopefully.

Cabo Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 77 nights to 101 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: 79 inshore, from Cabo to San Jose, rising to 82 offshore to Gorda Banks. North and outside the Gorda Banks at 84 degrees. Good clarity and calm conditions.

Best Fishing Area: The boats are searching far & wide for the billfish, with a few sailfish showing above the Gorda Banks, but very few striped marlin, probably due to the too warm waters.

Best Lure/Bait: Live Bait is necessary when the fishing gets tough as it is, just to enhance the angler\'s chances. Often used best on the drop-back when the billfish chase the lures.

Live Bait Supply: Remains excellent.
