This river above Green Peter Reservoir was stocked again last week with about 1,800 legal-size trout. Due to warm water temperatures, the river will not be stocked again this summer. The river is currently running at around 30 cfs. Best conditions for fishing are below 300 cfs. The main quarry here are trout, both wild and hatchery fish.

Hoot Owl regulations are in effect for this river, which means fishing is prohibited from 2 p.m. to one hour before sunrise. This is a popular place for swimmers, which could cause fish to be more skittish during the main part of the day. Light tackle including flies works best.

Trout are active year-round and anglers are allowed to keep up to five fish daily.
