Yellowfin/Yellowtail/Dorado For The Bun

Hello everyone; Well after a slow start for the Bun, things did turn around for the Royal Polaris and crew. We arrived to our destination about 0600 hours, started looking around. It didn’t take long for the Yellowfin to find us. We started out shacking a few fish back to the ocean, but by midmorning, things did change for the better. We would pick away at the Yellowfin most of the day, with a few Dorado and Yellowtail mixed in.

Most of the Yellowfin were in the 18 to 22 pound range, with a good number in the 25 to 35 pound category. Around 16:00 hours, we would lose our angling power, as most passengers, were done for the day.

Once the smoke had cleared, we had our daily limits in Yellowfin tuna and Dorado. (155 Yellowfin tuna and 62 Dorado). We will give this another morning, then start looking for Wahoo once again. But it’s hard to stop fishing these Yellowfin.

Weather is perfect, with clear skies, sunny, and a slight breeze to keep you cool. Without the breeze, it would be very warm down here. Not much more to report, so until tomorrow, wish us luck. Team R/p

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
