The action at Hosmer has been steadily slowing. That doesn’t mean it's been bad, the silence and solitude is very nice. It’ll be wet and cold up there this week, the fish may start to get a bit sluggish. Dry fly hatches are unlikely given the weather and time of year. Nymphing has been most productive with midges and dark assassins. Chironomids can be worth a shot in deeper areas. Small balanced leeches are doing very well at the drop offs near the bank. Small leeches on the strip are getting some attention as well. Even if the action is slowing, Hosmer holds potential for a peaceful day enjoying the fall weather.
