  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 2,000 pounds of trout the week of February 7th. The stocking that was scheduled for last week was delayed. The next stocking of 1,500 pounds will go into the lake the week of February 28th followed by another 1,500 pounds the week of March 7th. Back to back stocking brings our total to 15,000 pounds of trout stocked so far this season! For a complete stocking schedule, click HERE.
  • What's the catch? The bass bite has been productive especially from the t-dock and Eagle Point. Anglers report using drop shot and soft plastics. Watermelon and green pumpkin work best in our lake. Don't sleep on the trout during non-stocking weekends! We see them all over the lake. Nightcrawlers are a good all-around bait for all species of fish in our lake. Try cutting them in half or quarters. It will ensure that the panfish and trout will get more of the hook in their mouth. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • Conditions: The current water temperature is a cool 59 degrees optimal for rainbow trout. The dissolved oxygen content is consistent throughout the water column. The sun has been rising around 6:20 a.m. each morning and setting around 5:45 p.m. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • New Moon Fishing: Mark your calendars! The lake will be open for night fishing on Saturday, March 5th from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The entrance gate will close at 8:00 p.m. Full sized lanterns required after 5:00 p.m. Boat rentals are available on a first come, first served basis.
