Fishing for hybrid bass has been successful for a few fishermen recently. As typical catch per unit effort is approximately 1 bass every 8-10 hours. Bait fishing has been the proven method but fly-fishing and casting Rapalas are also effective when these fish are feeding. Rapalas that imitate tui chub and rainbow trout, favorite food sources for hybrid bass, are good bets for catching these fish. On sunny days you will need to fish deeper than cloudy days.

The reservoir is currently being drawn down to check on irrigation infrastructure and the boat ramp is unusable for trailered boats. The reservoir will likely be at full pool again towards the end of March.

There have not been any recent fishing reports for rainbow trout. Trolling lures or flies is a good bet for these stocked trout. Bait fishing with PowerBait or worms is also a proven method for putting fish on a stringer.
