Report Date:
http://www.truckeeriveroutfitters.comPyramid opens every year on October 1st. The fishing can vary depending on the surface water temperature. Usually in the fall the cutthroats can be seen chasing perch and tui chub fry around. This year is no different. The best reports we have so far are from anglers who have found schools of bait close to shore. The balls of bait move around from day to day so it is important to keep moving and find the fish. Usually beaches that have easy access to deeper water is a good place to start. Blockhouse, Wino Beach and Monument Rock are all worth a try. White or chartreuse woolybuggers and a variety of Tui Chub patterns fished with a shooting head have been effective so far. First thing in the morning and just before dark has been the best time to fish.
