Who: The MLPA Initiative invites members of the public interested in learning more about redesigning marine protected areas (MPAs) for the MLPA North Coast Study Region
What: Save the date for the MLPA Initiative's North Coast Public Workshop II:
4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Introduction to the MLPA and MLPA Initiative
6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Detailed discussion regarding:
? North coast MPA planning process
? Science and feasibility guidelines
? Components of an MPA proposal
? MarineMap training
When: As a result of feedback from the first workshop, the North Coast Public Workshop II has been expanded and will be held on three different dates in three cities:
? Fort Bragg - Tuesday, October 27, 2009
? Eureka - Wednesday, October 28, 2009
? Crescent City - Thursday, October 29, 2009
Where: Venues to be confirmed. All staff will be present for workshops in all three cities.
