Today our annual “Ol Boy” charter experienced a 6 hour drift which covered 4 miles and included some of the best big tuna fishing any of us have ever seen aboard the San Diego. 1-6 fish hooked the entire time with most of them between 130-170 lbs. When we finally tapped out due to exhaustion we had 24 fish onboard. The right gear is crucial if you want a chance at landing one of these fish. 80 lb and a 2 speed reel, 150-300 gram jigs and sinker rigs worked best.
