Water clarity and temperature is fairly consistent with last week. Temps warmed up a little bit more as the daytime temps have been hitting the upper 80s for the last few days. Not sure entirely what's going on but the fishing is somewhat inconsistent. Decent one day, and not so great the next. I want to blame this on the weather but I'm not sure if that's fair. Today wasn't windy at all and the hatches around 11 were very strong. Lots of smaller BWOs and PMDs and a few larger PMDs in the mix. Not a single rising fish and the bugs were absolutely everywhere. I'll be out there again tomorrow and plan on fishing a different section entirely. Pumped a fish the other day that had a bunch of cased caddis in it's stomach. Ran some pheasant tails and some custom patterns I tied and they showed absolutely zero interest in them today. Mostly size 16 brown or black mayfly nymphs got the most grabs today, but only after the bugs started hatching, otherwise they were largely ignored.
