Fishing overall has been good at Squaw but not without some slow days here and there. The inlet has fished well for trout this spring but should start shifting to bass as summer sets in. The dam is an excellent place to find deeper water and more trout through the heat of summer. Worms and dough bait off the bottom midday work well. Spinners and jigs are productive early and late and will continue to catch good fish unto summer. Fly fisherman using larger streamer trolling in open water are finding some larger fish to 16 inches. Surface flies fished near the shoreline at the inlet will draw the occasional bass to the surface during low light periods.
