Fishing conditions and Hatches: Fair-Good
The flows are up near normal, for now. Midges and BWOs are incredibly inconsistent so be prepared for both. Midges are all day long but mainly in the morning while the BWOs are 12-1 and tiny PMDs(?) in the evening. The reservoir Daphnia explosion has run it's course and the river is now clear of them. The only report I got this week was from the afternoon and was a positive one. Small PMDs (#20s) starting around 3 and then some bigger ones around 5. Also lots of midges and a good caddis hatch (#16s) from 7 until dark. Caddis are probably the most consistent, try skating an Elk Hair Caddis or fish Caddis Crawlers through the riffles. Scuds and Damsel nymphs in the slow water.
