All fishing is prohibited within 200 feet of any portion of a tributary mouth. This is in effect from June 1 through Sept. 30, 2022 from the Scottsburg Bridge upstream to River Forks Park boat ramp. This is in place to protect summer steelhead that have been returning in low numbers
Some anglers will start fishing the bay for Chinook. The permanent regulations for fall Chinook are in effect in 2022. Now through Nov 30 anglers may retain 2 Chinook (either wild or hatchery) per day and up to 20 wild fish per year.
Summer steelhead are throughout the river and anglers are finding a few.
Trout fishing reopened May 22.
