Flyfishing for redband trout was good last weekend

Flyfishing for redband trout was good last weekend with flows double what they were last year. The angler was swinging muddler minnows across structure and deeper pockets. Stripping weighted flies and hanging beadheads under a bobber can catch plenty of fish as well. Casting spinners across and downstream and slowly work them through deeper riffles and lower pools is also effective.

Camping is available and is a perfect time to hang out and have fun. The bag limit is 2 fish only one of which can be over 20 inches.

With the water warming up this summer please land fish quickly, keep the fish in the water and do the best you can to release happy fish so we can enjoy them in the future.

Check the Oregon Water Resources Near Real Time Streamflow website for current flow information.
