Current flow is around 1,200cfs and temperature in the low-40s F.
Coho are pushing through the middle Rogue and twitching jigs and spinners are a good bet while the river is relatively low and clear. Early next week there is some rain forecast and pulling plugs would be a good bet if temperature and flow increase a bit. Only adipose-clipped coho may be harvested.
Summer steelhead are available and anglers are having success both on fly and gear. Trout fishing is open with a 5 fish daily bag limit for adipose fin-clipped (hatchery) trout. Non-adipose fin-clipped trout must all be immediately released unharmed.
Current flow, temp and turbidity conditions for the Rogue can be found at the USGS stream gauges here, or checking the City of Grants Pass water page’s river data here.
