The river is probably fishing the best on the south coast as most other rivers have been too high or muddy to fish. Anglers able to fish the river as it drops and clears between storms have been picking up steelhead and the occasional Chinook

There are new license requirements to fish for winter steelhead in 2023 on south coast rivers and anglers should check the new regulation book prior to fishing.
