EAST WALKER RIVER February 05, 2023
The East Walker on the California side is currently closed, opening day will be April 29, 2023. We haven’t heard anything from the Nevada side lately but if/when we do we’ll let you know. There’s a ton of snow in the area this year, it sounds like the East Walker River Road that takes you to the Rosachi section is very snowy/slushy and there have been folks getting stuck out there quite a bit. Probably wise to keep an eye on the weather and wait for it to dry out a bit.
SCEIRINE RANCH February 05, 2023
We haven’t had anyone on the ranch for several weeks, when we get some reports from down there we’ll pass them on.

The West is open to catch and release fishing with only artificial lures with barbless hooks this time of the year. We haven’t heard of any fishing activity there lately but when the weather warms up a bit at some point hopefully we’ll get some reports to pass on.

The Fishin’ Mission Foundation has purchased and has been working on the installation of a very cool streaming web camera here in Bridgeport, it’s been mounted on a tall pole on the front corner of Ken’s! It went live today! You can click the “Streaming Web Camera” on the front page of
www.kenssport.com or you can go to
www.fmfcharities.org and click the “Web Cam” link on their front page, go check it out! Also, send a big shout out to the Fishin’ Mission Foundation an thank them for all their great work in the Bridgeport area!!
We’ve been having a great winter up here! It looks like the snowpack in most of the drainages around Bridgeport are anywhere from about 250% to 325% of normal! This should make for a great water year and hopefully a great fishing year!! We got another 2 or 3 inches of snow here in Bridgeport last night, probably much more up at Twin Lakes and above. Over the past few weeks we’ve had temperatures as low as -32 here in the valley with quite a few nights between -15 and -25! Lots of shovelling, plowing and snow blowing going on around here this Winter! Be sure and check out the Fishin’ Mission Foundation’s streaming camera to see the current conditions here at Bridgeport!!
