Just as anticipated, the opener at Onion was excellent. Fish averaged 13 inches but several people found some carryovers to 19 inches.  The road from the west side is open to access Onion Valley Reservoir. Recent rains have created gullies and ruts in some areas, so be careful when navigating these areas. Most wet flies, spinners, and bait work well at onion. The hardest part is getting there.
