Report: The river has dropped a little and the upper end above Simms is in great shape and fishing well. Temps on this gage are beginning to bump up towards 70 degrees in the late afternoon, if you are fishing below Simms play your fish quickly and keep them in the water. The Caddis are coming off in the evening, Poopahs and Bird's Nests are good flies during the day. Some Blue Wing Olives and midges coming off will have fish sipping in the shady slicks. With the larger Caddis coming off, be ready with and Elk Hair Caddis in #14 and dark Missing Links in from #14 through 18 will cover the gamut. Keep you eyes peeled for ant falls. Rubberlegs, Perdigons, Sweet Peas, and #16 S&Ms in olive and brown are all going to work from time to time.
