The Upper Deschutes has been fishing fair. Nymphing has been the ticket lately and jigged leeches, psycho princes, pheasant tails, micro-mays and zebra midges have all been effective. It never hurts to fish your nymphs under a stimulator as a dry-dropper setup. Streamers are always fun on the upper stripped around some of the log jams and undercut banks. Bug spray is a must if you plan on fishing the Upper D.
