The Middle Deschutes is just starting to see some bumps in flows but the fishing still seems to holding up around Bend, Tumalo and near Steelhead Falls. PMD’s, BWO’s, Mahogany Duns and Caddis, including October Caddis through this section too. With higher water it becomes better nymphing and streamer fishing. Certainly a good place to spend the day or a few hours.

Metolius River: The Metolius is getting some very strong hatches of Green Drakes!
McKenzie River: The McKenzie is darn good fishing and should remain so all month
Deschutes River- Lower: The Lower Deschutes is really good on the Warm Springs to Trout Creek day drift
Crooked River: The Crooked River is dropping now at the end of irrigation season
Fall River: The Fall River is quite good all the way from the Headwaters to the Falls
Lava Lake: Lava Lake has awoken in a great way
Crane Prairie Reservoir: Crane Prairie is fishing well
Hosmer Lake: Hosmer is good and with lowering water temps the Lower Lake is waking up more now too
East Lake: East Lake is seeing good shoreline action still on Ants and Beetles
Paulina Lake: Paulina is beginning to see the big brown trout in post spawn behavior
Three Creek Lake: Three Creeks Lake is going to be a winner for the next couple of weeks

Metolius River: The Metolius is still seeing a great afternoon Green Drake hatch
Deschutes River- Lower: The Lower Deschutes is fishing quite well on nymphs, with some dry fly action
Deschutes River: Euro nymphing and streamers are very good now
Deschutes River- Upper: The Upper Deschutes is only open for another 8 days in the Headwaters stretch
Fall River: The Fall River is good and it’s crowded because of that
Crooked River: The Crooked River is in prime shape at 227 cfs
Crane Prairie Reservoir: Crane Prairie was good for us again yesterday
Hosmer Lake: Hosmer is good for Brook Trout and Big Rainbows
Paulina Lake: Paulina is great
East Lake: East Lake is good
Three Creek Lake: 3 Creeks Lake is fishing great
