All the steelhead rivers flooded this past weekend. Rivers levels started to drop and we are now getting more rain that will keep the water high and muddy through the weekend. As river levels drop steelhead anglers will start fishing near the town of Coquille plunking with a Spin-n-Glo and bait (eggs or shrimp). Anglers will start to fish the North Fork Coquille River at LaVerne Park as the river level drops. ‌

The lower Coquille River is high and muddy making fishing for striped bass more difficult. ‌

Trout fishing in closed in the rivers until May 22, 2024
