The current flow is 1,650 cfs, and the average river temperature has bumped up to the mid-40s F. Fish activity and movement should continue through the weekend with the increased river temperatures.
The middle Rogue above Hog Creek is closed to Chinook fishing.
Summer steelhead are spread out. Anglers are reporting spotty success. Pulling plugs or plunking are classic techniques that can get you into a fish. Target eddy and current seams and travel lanes on the inside corners to encounter migrating steelhead . ODFW has no reports of winter steelhead being caught in this section yet.
Current flow, temp and turbidity conditions for the Rogue can be found at the USGS stream gauges here, or checking the City of Grants Pass water page's river data here.
