The release from Lost Creek Reservoir is 1,250 cfs and the temperature at release is 42.5F. Expect releases from the dam to stay around that number as the reservoir fill season has started. ‌

Late summer steelhead moving into the hatchery are still available and were being caught last week, but chrome winter steelhead are around and numbers will continue to increase as we move into February. Movement into the hatchery has continued to be decent. Fishing plugs on the rise is a good tactic. Lures or flies are now a good choice with the clear water conditions. Pressure has been light so this is a good time to fish the upper Rogue without crowds. ‌
