What an awesome day in Lorain today, we went after the Steelies and boy did they put on a show for our guests .
It took us a while to get our program dialed in but once we did WOW!!. getting them hooked up was the easy part, keeping them hooked up was an absolute challenge. They never broke us off today but there acrobatic arial shows gave us a run for our money as they were supper jumpy, it was AWESOME to watch them.
We ended up getting 8 steelhead to the boat out of the 22 we hooked up along with 18 walleye . Biggest Steelhead today was 27.5"
Downriggers and Dipsey's did all the work for us.
Riggers down 58' with a 25' lead and Dipseys #1 107 & 123, #3 147 & 158 were the best.
Board lines 160 to 168 but we couldn't get anything going with the 40TT at all - it was very odd.
Green Spoons were killer - especially the Green Chilly Willie Spoon.
I tried getting video of the shows we were given today but I could not get my phone out fast enough . But they sure stripped the line off the tekotas just screaming the drags .
Done now until next weekend

Had the family out on the Cherokee in Lorain on the 4th of July doing a little fun fishing, along......
