Report Date:
https://troutcreekoutfitters.com/The flows have once again dropped on the Little Truckee this week, sitting at +/- 70 CFS. This is down from 120 last week. As we mentioned in last week’s report, we have heard through the rumor mill that the LT may end up getting dropped down to 45 CFS this month. At 75 CFS we should see some excellent dry fly fishing here, and nymph fishing will become just a bit tougher. With the hoppers still being very active, the hopper dropper fishing will benefit from this week’s drop. The PMDs remain active daily, but some days the hatches have been stronger than others. Either way, you can expect to at least a few fish willing to take these imitations on top, especially near the Stampede outflow. There is still a good amount of fish in the system this week and most sections are still fishing well for now. If we do see it drop down to 45, this may change and limit the good fishing to the prime holding water.
