Report Date:
http://www.theflyshop.com/streamreport.htmFishing on the McCloud should be superb through the weekend and as we begin to cool off things should really get going on the McCloud. Clarity remains excellent. The evenings will see some good Caddis hatches right at dark While these fish haven't seen a lot to eat, they are keying on just about anything that is presented well. Keep with your larger, dark nymphs and streamers like the TJ Hooker, Rubberlegs and leeches and drop your favorite confidence fly below. Mine is the Olive Hotspot. Go with that. Sculpin patterns on sinking or intermediate lines are always a good way to pull a large Brown up from the depths. To reserve a day with one of our expert guides to experience one of the most picturesque streams in the north state, call Chris or Bryan in Outfitters at 800-669-3474.
