The Crooked River is fishing really well right now! Nymphing is the go-to method throughout the day, and a variety of caddis and mayfly patterns are working great. We’re also having good results with scuds—tan, green, and orange are all solid choices. For dry flies, keep an eye out for caddis and PMD activity. Make sure you’ve got a good selection of both in your box. If you’re up for a bit of variety, swinging soft hackles and small streamers can be both fun and effective on the Crooked. The Crooked Canyon is such a beautiful spot and a great place to escape to with the fires to the west, so get out there and enjoy a day on the water.
