Sam checked in with us from a recent trip to Pyramid Lake. Here is his report:
"Made my first boat trip to Pyramid on Monday, the 14th. What a blast. Put in water at around 745 and had my first fish just after 8, a beautiful 13.5 pound cutthroat. We stayed out until 11 and we wound up with 6 fish. The last fish was caught by my partner, a lofty 17 pound, 33 inch monster. Wow what a treat those two big fish were. All fish were released, and a fellow boater helped me save the 17 pounder. I learned a good lesson too. Best to have a descending device when you catch fish at depth. These fish were all caught in about 75 feet of water."
Thanks for sharing, Sam!

ODFW Wildlife Areas like Sauvie Island, Klamath, Summer Lake, Fern Ridge and Ladd Marsh are great places for both the novice and experienced hunter. Check the zone reports for the latest updates.
