The bite at Pyramid has been pretty hot and cold recently. The overcast and windy days are still providing some steady action for both the indicator or when stripping. On sunny days there is a lot of time spent between bites, which can still be a lot of fun as long as you’ve surrounded yourself with good company! We are seeing a good number of fish cruising the shallows now, with some large schools of fish passing by on a regular basis. These fish are not typically going to take your fly, especially if you’re indicator fishing. We recommend looking past those fish and focusing on putting the bobber out into the deeper water. Fishing from 6-10 feet deep. These are the fish that are actively feeding and looking for those size 12-14 midges.
