I am sad not to get to go on the Excel this year. Baby Zane was getting Baptized. Edgar got to go in my place. Pictured here is Ken Bell (long time regular) with a 40+ pound halibut caught on a fly lined sardine. WOW! They had excellent fishing at Benitos and Cedros plus some nice offshore action for Dorado and then later for Albacore. Click here for the pictures and story by Edgar Ylanan.

Excel Sportfishing Fish Report 9-28-07

Today we arrived at the rocks and after trolling around for wahoo we got the anchor down just after lunch and started picking away at beautiful Alijos yellowfin. They ranged from 50 to 70 pounds with the daily jackpot going to Gregg Downing with a 72 pounder. Even Big Al made it to the rail and landed a 62 pounder. We are hoping for another successfull day tomorrow.......
