Things are starting to shake up a bit on the Truckee River.
Clouds and some weather coming and definitely the kick into Fall fishing.
The whole Truckee River is fishing good. That is, from Tahoe City all the way past Reno. That's a lot of fishable water. Pick a spot and fish it well.
Look for strong beatis hatches, but of course nymphing will be best. The streamer fishing should get going right about now.
Pyramid Lake opens next week. That's always good early. The other lakes in our area will be good too. Davis, Frenchmens, etc.
Fall is a great time to get out.

That's a wrap for Summer on the Truckee River. The kids are back in school, and the last of the burners leaving town, good riddance. Should probably be pretty mellow in town and on the river here on out. Not at all hot, stark contrast to some late Summers we've had in the past. No smoke, and no fires either. Flows have also remained very good. Fishing has been pretty consistent. A very good Summer on the Truckee River in my opinion. Trouts are......
